Graphic design and illustration for the weekly natural wine pop-up Bar Sardine. This event would take place after hours at Bartavelle Cafe in Berkeley with a changing weekly menu of bottles, glasses and snacks. We wanted the menus to reflect the unique and approachable atmosphere of the rotating wine list; Bar Sardine would be somewhere to socialize, learn, dream, chat, and be inspired. A visual language of whimsical doodles and characters developed; each week they’d illustrate a mood or a vibe that coincided with the menu. This expanded out to social posts, merchandise, and even some tattoos.
