Label design and visual concept work for a new line of Zodiac-themed atmosphere sprays from longtime client MCMC Fragrances. These fragrances aim to express the signs through scent, with thoughtful and unexpected ingredient notes. To create a family of distinct but connected label artworks, we went through an exercise of gesture sketches to tap into the personality of each sign, using color to bring out their nuance and verve. What would a scent look like if you only had one shape to describe it? MCMC has always been a champion of that ephemeral, intangible point of feeling and memory that lives within scents and the artwork always has the pleasure of reflecting that.
